Southeast names Celina Holson as chief operating officer

Pasadena, TX – HCA Houston Healthcare Southeast is pleased to announce the appointment of Celina Holson as chief operating officer for the southeast Harris County hospital and its affiliated sites of care, effective February 3, 2025. 

Holson most recently served as chief operating officer for HCA Florida JFK North Hospital in West Palm Beach, FL. During her tenure at JFK North, Celina was instrumental in driving transformative changes, including the launch of a GYN-Oncology program as well as overseeing critical upgrades to the Radiology department and a variety of construction projects aimed at modernizing key areas of the hospital. Her ability to lead complex initiatives made a lasting impact on the hospital’s operational efficiency and patient care. 

Holson has developed a deep expertise in healthcare through her career with HCA Healthcare. Prior to JFK North, she served as Vice President of Operations at Riverside Community Hospital in the HCA Far West Division. While at Riverside she played a pivotal role in launching and re-accrediting multiple healthcare programs and addressing significant throughput challenges. Her leadership has been marked by a focus on both operational improvement and patient satisfaction. 

After earning a Bachelor of Arts in Hispanic Linguistics from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Holson went on to complete her Masters in Health Systems Administration at Georgetown University. In addition, she is a graduate of HCA’s Executive Residency and Executive Development Programs and was honored with the Outstanding Associate of the Cohort Award in 2022.
