Renee Ford named chief operating officer of HCA Houston Healthcare Southeast
Houston, TX — HCA Houston Healthcare Southeast is pleased to announce the appointment of Renee Ford as chief operating officer, effective December 26, 2022.
Ford brings 38 years of hospital operations experience to her new role. She has worked within HCA Healthcare Gulf Coast Division for over 25 years, holding various leadership positions including division ethics and compliance officer, a role which she held for 11 years.
She currently serves as vice president of operations at HCA Houston Healthcare Tomball where she provides oversight for all ancillary departments as well as strategic leadership for the oncology, women’s services and rehabilitation service lines. Throughout her tenure at HCA Houston Healthcare Tomball, Ford has led successful initiatives resulting in top-ranked employee and physician engagement, patient experience gains and improved hospital throughput efficiencies. She has also managed several successful construction projects including the Woman’s Center at Tomball, med/surg unit remodels, the soon-to-be-completed OR expansion and opened two freestanding emergency departments.
Ford received her bachelor’s degree from Louisiana State University and her master’s degree from the University of Houston. Renee started her career treating patients as a speech-language pathologist. She is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives, Healthcare Financial Management Association and Texas Speech Language and Hearing Association. Ford also graduated from HCA Healthcare’s Executive Development Program in 2019 where she was recognized as the Outstanding Associate of the Cohort.
Dedicated to helping the greater Houston community, Ford has a strong history of volunteering and supporting several not-for-profit charities including Meals on Wheels, Houston Food Bank, Champions for Hope, Families Feeding Families, American Heart Association and March of Dimes. She has been an active member of St. Ignatius Loyola Catholic Community for 33 years and has served in numerous roles.
